Estrogen and affects it can have on PMS

Estrogen and PMS are quite connected to each other and improper levels of estrogen in the body do give rise to PMS. The levels of estrogen generally increase during mid of the menstruation cycle. Most of the women pass through PMS before menstruation and estrogen plays an important role in this. You won’t get your periods regularly if the level of estrogen goes up or down. They will cause mood swings in most of the females during PMS.

These hormonal changes have been proved scientifically as one of the major cause of PMS. They will affect the functioning of serotonin, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and biogenic amines. All these factors will cause irritability, hostility, anxiety etc during PMS. It may also cause problems in concentrating and nervous tension. So estrogen effects PMS in a great way, mentally as well as physically. One might feel emotionally disturbed or face some problems physically. Estrogen dominance will have a bad effect on PMS and also during ovulation.

Most of the symptoms that occur in PMS are mainly due to estrogen dominance. One of the major problems faced by most of the women during estrogen dominance and PMS is stress. One has to take great care of them in order to control PMS and avoid disturbing estrogen levels.
