Libido is a common term used for describing sexual desires, especially among women. Lack of libido or simply low libido means the lack of sexual urge among women. Low libido can deeply affect both the sexes; it is however majorly reported among women. The craving for sex and sexual activities varies from one person to another. It has been proven by several studies and researches that the circumstances of a woman play a major share her sexual endeavors. Sometimes, reduced levels of libido result from physical exertion and stress. At times, the combination of psychological as well as physical stress can both play havoc with the level of this sex driving agent. Apart from just sexual activities, the low level of libido can also hamper a close knit relationship between couples. Further, it can become a primary cause of fluctuating self-confidence and self-esteem among women. In addition, it can further promote feelings of guilt, anger, depression, stress and shame among affected women. The most evident symptoms of this condition is reduced sexual desires, in-frequent sexual thoughts and fantasies, less frequent masturbation activities and abstinence from initiating sex.
