Menopause is officially termed or defined as beginning twelve months after a woman’s last period. At this period a woman is no longer fertile, and she is considered post-menopausal. So in a normal language we can term it as the period which changes woman’s fertility into infertility. The stages of menopause totally depend upon due to which reason it has occurred. Is it because of the surgery or the radiation or the drug therapy that has damaged the ovaries or is it because of the natural menopause that has occurred?
Natural menopause takes place when the monthly cycle of ovulation finish. During this period the ovarian supply follicles and eggs lessens sharply as a woman faces the menopause stage. Most of the woman will experience the natural menopause transition but some may have to face the challenge of premature menopause in the form of Premature Ovarian Failure (POF) or surgical or medical (instant) Menopause. Woman faces some uncomfortable symptoms such as hot flashes, weight gain, sleeplessness, night sweats, irritability, nervousness and mood swings. Menopause also makes our heart weak and can lead to osteoporosis. During this stage the production of hormone reduces gradually. Some may also feel vaginal dryness and also thinning of the vaginal wall. |
