Tips for surviving the baby blues

Take some time out for yourself:

The amount of time it takes to be a mother is much longer than pregnancy and getting adjusted to the new life. With lots of responsibility and life changing experience it involves lot of emotional and physical change. Talking out your feelings and expressing as much as possible would not only relieve new emotions but you would also receive guidance from experienced ladies.

Moving out of your house and going to new places would help you and your baby. As a garden, mall, library or just a coffeehouse would not only make you feel good, but also the attention the baby would get would make the baby get some stimulation.

A support group may help you find other women undergoing similar situations as yours and sharing your feelings would increase your knowledge on many baby tasks, like feeding, diaper changing, if you have a baby with special needs then you can discuss with parents of babies with similar needs. You can find new friends which can prove helpful in nurturing your new born together.
